Indigo/Shibori
Learn the ancient art of indigo dyeing!
We’ll explore ancient techniques of indigo dyeing on fabric, and you’ll learn its modern application using hand-crafted and plant-based indigo dyes.
We’ll explore various techniques to create different indigo patterns, including the ancient Japanese art of shibori, and at the end of the workshop, you’ll have your very own dyed cotton scarf (made by you!) to take home.
Before and after the workshop, you’re welcome to roam the farm: check out our gorgeous flowers, and meet our affectionate flock of Bluefaced Leicester sheep.

Print with Botanicals
Come join us on the farm for a lovely day of Botanical printing in the garden!
Experience the magic and alchemy of creating art from the garden, right here on our Bowen Island farm!
At this wonderful half-day workshop, you’ll learn how to print on fabric using gorgeous plant dyes. You’ll even get your hands dirty in the soil, as you harvest botanicals from the farm to use for your creations!
You’ll experience the joy of playing with different materials and elements, as you experiment with various ways of printing on cotton, silk, and linen.
After our time together, you’ll come away from the workshop with a final creation: a botanical print either on a scarf or a set of napkins — your choice! This will be a beautiful piece of work you created with your own two hands, in tandem with the generous land itself.
Our workshop together will be fun, creative, and low-pressure, as you experience the magic of co-creating with the garden.
